Alright, hey guys and gals. It's Rye "SneakyLizard" Callan (a.k.a The Deadly Rose). As you can tell by the title of the journal, I will be doing my own revision of how I would reboot the Mega Man X series.
Keep in mind that I will only be doing the first five Mega Man X games, while completely ignoring the events of X6, X7, X8, and Command Mission. To be perfectly honest with all of you, after Mega Man X5, the story just went to shit for me, I totally lost interest, and I didn't care what was happening during X6 and X7, ya know. For example, in X6, as far as the storyline went, I thought that Isoc (Gate's assistant) was going to be a sub-boss, followed by Gate, but the storyline writers gave us a big "Man, Fuck y'all" by adding Sigma in the mix. The way I would've written the story for X6 was for Sigma to be biding his time to get back at X and Zero in X7, thus making Gate the main antagonist.
Nothing against X8 and Command Mission (in fact, those games are very good), but I just feel that it should have ended after X5, as Keiji Inafune originally intended.
Having said all of that, I'll be making my vision both in terms of story and gameplay. I'll be starting with the first game. Yeah, I know that they already did a remake of the original Mega Man X (Mega Man Maverick Hunter X), but the problem was that it didn't sell well, leading to future sequels being scrapped. In regards to how I'll do the original, the storyline will be the same as Maverick Hunter X. As for the gameplay, it'll remain the same.
In regards to fighting the eight Maverick bosses a second time in the fortress levels, it will be done like the original Mega Man and Mega Man X, in that you have to fight them in a following preset order rather than just one big room with teleport hatches (a term that I learned of from The Mega Man Homepage). For example, in the original Mega Man, the order in which you fight the Robot Masters in Dr. Wily's Castle are; Cut Man, Elec Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, Ice Man, and Guts Man.
So yeah, even X2, X3, X4, and X5 will have this feature. Also, regarding the original Mega Man X, the preset order in which you fight the Mavericks again will be different than in the original version and its remake.
Also, I will be including voice actors for the characters in each game. Of course, the voices from Maverick Hunter X will remain the same, but for the characters in the following games (save for X, Zero, Vile, and Sigma), they will have mostly different voice actors.
So there you have it. I hope you all feel excited about my own revision of the Mega Man X series. As always, feel free to flood me with comments down below. I would really appreciate it. This is SneakyLizard slithering into the shadows.

What was the saddest video game death?
Since I did one for the saddest animated movie death, I thought I'd do the video game side of things. Anyways, what was the saddest video game death for you? One that legit shocked and made you cry? For me, it was Fenix (StarCraft: Brood War). For those who don't know, I love the StarCraft series. I was still in 3rd Grade at the time I got the original StarCraft, and I remember playing the heck out of it when I was a kid. So naturally, I got its expansion set known as StarCraft: Brood War, since I was eager to see how it would continue after the original. My favorite character was Fenix (one of the Protoss), and I admired how awesome he was. He's the bravest warrior of the Protoss race, which is the opposite of me (I'm a bit of a coward, honestly). When he first got killed in the original StarCraft, it was only a few missions into the Protoss campaign, so I didn't really know much about him or care that he had perished. But he grew on me. However, he did get revived later on in the
April Fools'!
Yeah, couldn't think of a good joke this time around. Anyways, this is my way of saying...APRIL FOOLS'!
Another anime-related question
I know I mention this time and time again, but am I the only one who was utterly traumatized by this scene in Digimon (in a nutshell, Raremon attempting to drown poor Kabuterimon)? The part begins at the 0:27 mark. I know you might think it's odd, but I was 9 years old at the time I saw this episode of Digimon, and it certainly left an impact on me. I hope I'm not being weird.

True. They should just keep Sigma to rest and start on making newer better villians rather then just milking that reoccuring theme (Except for Vile)
Enjoyed the first 4 with X3 and X4 as my faves. And Command Mission was pretty good 2. Looking forward the your revision.
